(1) The tenure of the Provincial Assembly shall be five years, unless it is dissolved earlier in accordance with this Constitution.
(2) Regardless of what is written in sub-section (1), in the case where a state of emergency is declared or an order is in effect in the respective province, the tenure of the provincial assembly may not be extended by one year in accordance with the provincial law.
(3) The tenure of the Provincial Assembly added in accordance with sub-section (2) shall automatically expire after six months from the date of cancellation of the emergency declaration or order in the concerned province.
